The best thing about this park was the playground. We visited another park in Mountain View, but promptly left because of it's sketchy vibe. I checked the city's website & found Veterans Memorial Park. Based on their description we went there in hopes of something much better. The playground was decent, but not very well kept (weeds growing everywhere, old, faded, splitting mulch, which isn't very favorable for kids). The city's website made this sound like a grand park with ample features. Well, the amphitheater is run down & any landscaping is obviously not very well attended. The primary reason we stopped here was to get out, stretch, & use the restroom. I found the restroom to be in such bad condition that I refused to use it. My husband did use the men's room, but guys seem to have a higher tolerance for disgusting. I was highly disappointed in this park, especially after reading the proud, gleaming description on the city's website.
